I’m Moira Mills.

I grew up on a homestead in rural Alaska and never set foot in a classroom until I was 18. I was unschooled before I even knew the term existed, and that experience shaped how I see the world. It taught me to question assumptions, trust curiosity, and pay attention to how people learn, grow, and make sense of their lives.

I started working as a massage therapist in 2000, became a Certified Rolfer® in 2004, and later earned a health coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. Over the years, I’ve lived and traveled throughout the United States and Europe, worked with hundreds of clients, and spent decades studying how people adapt to the structures around them.

When my son was born in 2015, everything shifted again.

That chapter led me into homeschooling, unschooling, and eventually creating projects like the Albany Pop-Up Adventure Playground, which welcomed more than 700 participants before the lockdowns.

Today, I roadschool full-time with my son while working with entrepreneurs and families around the world. I’m the founder of SoulPath Branding, where I help people examine the assumptions shaping their businesses, identities, and decisions so they can build from what actually fits rather than what they’ve been told should work.

I also work with Cosmic Human Design and the Gene Keys as tools for self-understanding, decision-making, and personal exploration.

This Substack is where I explore the questions that sit underneath all of it: learning, identity, business, culture, systems, and what happens when we stop mistaking the description for the thing itself.
