For over a century, our public education system has been focused on producing rule-followers—people trained to sit still, raise their hand, memorize answers, and do what they’re told. And it shows.
We’ve built a society full of workers who can follow directions, but what happens when the problems we face don’t come with a rulebook?
We’re now seeing the ripple effects of this in every small business, industry, and community across the country. Critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, these are the real skills we need in a changing world. And yet, our kids are still being trained to color inside the lines.
That’s not just a problem for families. It’s a problem for all of us.
This Is Bigger Than Homeschooling
The work I’m doing isn't just for homeschooling families. It's about rebuilding something much bigger, our future workforce, our local communities, and the spirit of innovation that built this country in the first place.
Millions of families have already walked away from the system, but many are now struggling to find support. They know the traditional model isn’t working, but they don’t know what to replace it with. And right now, too many are trying to build something new with little guidance, no roadmap, and very few resources.
Why This Matters to All of Us
When we raise kids who can think independently, solve problems creatively, and care about the world around them, everybody benefits. Small businesses get stronger. Communities become more resilient. Local economies thrive.
But that kind of change doesn’t happen by accident. It takes intention. It takes families. And it takes people willing to support a new way forward.
We can’t wait for the government to fix this, it’s not in their interest to. That means it’s on us: families, entrepreneurs, leaders, and local communities. We the People have to lead the charge.
The Call Is Clear
If we want to raise a generation of kids who can thrive, not just survive, we need to reimagine education from the ground up. That starts with respecting each child’s uniqueness, giving parents real tools and support, and creating spaces where learning actually reflects the world we live in.
This is a movement that goes beyond school reform. It’s about raising human beings who know how to think, build, question, and create.
Let’s stop asking kids to fit into a system that was never designed for the world they’re growing up in. Let’s build something that works for them, and for all of us.
Hi Moira. I have been following your ideas on education and I find them very interesting. I am in South Africa and have been thinking about introducing a new way of learning. I think your way is inspiring. Keep on with the inspiration.
